About the Studio

With over 20 years of experience in interior design, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients to reimagine their spaces into something quietly personal and considered.

My design journey began at the Edinburgh School of Art, where I earned a B.A. in Interior Design & Applied Arts. Since then, my work has been guided by a focus on balancing form and function in a way that feels both refined and lived-in.

As founder and creative director of Pinterior Space, we specialise in contemporary interiors informed by Nordic, Scandinavian, and Japanese influences—spaces defined by clarity, material sensitivity, and a sense of calm.

Our process is collaborative and intuitive, rooted in the belief that good design doesn’t simply change how a space looks—it shapes how it feels to live in. Related reading: The Invisible Value of Design

Practice & Teaching

Alongside leading interior projects, I work as a design educator—sharing experience and evolving ideas with the next generation of designers.

Recently featured by the British Academy of Interior Design, this dual role reflects a belief that practice and teaching continuously inform one another. Each project brings new insight; each student brings a new perspective.

At its core, both are grounded in the same principle: that meaningful design begins with empathy.

Our Philosophy

Design begins with understanding.

At Pinterior.space, we believe beautiful interiors are created through understanding—not instruction.

Every home is different because every person is different. The way you live, work, rest and gather should shape the spaces around you.

Our role isn't to tell you how your home should look. It's to guide you through the design process with knowledge, experience and thoughtful collaboration, helping you make confident decisions that feel right for your home and your life.

We listen carefully.

We refine rigorously.

We focus on the details that shape how a space is experienced.

We believe in understanding both people and place.

We study architecture, natural light, proportion, materials and the everyday routines that make a house feel like home. The most successful interiors don't simply look beautiful—they support the people who live within them.

That belief extends beyond the homes we design.

Through our Design Insights Knowledge Library, we share the principles behind thoughtful interior design, helping homeowners understand not only what works, but why it works.

We don't create content to outrank others.

We create knowledge that deserves to be found.

Thoughtful Design, Beautiful Living

"I never once felt that she imposed her own ideas. It felt like genuine collaboration — thoughtful, balanced and respectful."

"...the final designs feel deeply personal — like rooms that belong to me, not spaces a designer simply made to look good."
